The 2nd Annual Alert The Audience Film Awards Nominations!

MOVIE POSTER

Hey! Look at that cool collage of some of the movies I saw at the cinema this year! Can you tell I couldn’t think of what image to use at the top of this post? In keeping with the “tradition” that I started last year on Alert The Audiencethis year we will be hosting The 2nd Annual Alert The Audience Film Awards. Basically what we’ll be doing is nominating 10 films in each of my 10 favourite categories at the Academy Awards, and then, on Sunday before the Oscars ceremony, we will be revealing the winners and runners up. Think of this as my personal version of “if I had an Oscar ballot…” except I get to be in charge of the nominees too! In future years hopefully I’ll be able to involve a larger group of people in the voting process, but for now, here’s my fun little way of honouring my favourite filmmakers and performers from 2019.

And the nominees are…

And there you have it! Adapted Screenplay and Original Screenplay are combined so we could have a total of 10 categories rather than 11 because… I like even numbers. Other than that I think everything is pretty self-explanatory. The winners and runners-up will be announced sometime before the Oscars this weekend, so stay tuned!

What do you think of these nominees? Did I snub anyone? Who would you have included or removed? Let me know below!
